This relationship of Micajah to Gabriel is not confirmed. Marie Nations had this information. There is a record of a Micajah married a Sarah Gore on 22 Apr 1805 in Brunswick, NC. This could be them but needs to be checked out.

1830 and 1840 census indicates children of the proper sexes and age groups to be a match, but never can be too sure.

Hi, I came across your posting on Micajah Long. My mother was a Simmons. I have our line back to two brothers Thomas Simmons father of Sarah "Sallie" Simmons who married Jonathan Gore and my direct line Sarah's uncle John Isaac Simmons.I just wanted you to know that Rev. Gabriel had a brother Rev. James Gore. Actually an older brother. He was born in 1818 and married Elizabeth Gore in 1840. I do not have their children. Do you know who Micajah's parents were? Suzy

He made a number of deeds to hischildren in the 1840's and up to 1854, some of which state that they are to bein effect only at his death. One deed from Micajah Long, Senr to John Long is dated 10 Nov 1854.

Shirley Esther Fort, 79, a retired dress shop manager, died 7 Jan 1993, in Ocala. A native of Oxford (FL), Miss Fort was a longtime resident of Anthony. She was a member of Anthony Baptist Church. Survivors include her sister, Wilie Lee Jones, Anthony. Bruce Ocala Funeral Home, East Chapel, is handling arrangements."
