Note: Uncle Albert married Aunt Mary when she was very young. As the years went by he treated her very mean. Aunt Mary was the worst cook in the family. She liked to work in the fields. As soon as possible as her girls grew she left the cooking to them. Uncle Albert's insistence on keeping his other woman in his house humilated her. As I remember it, she was not liked by her sisters-in-law, such as my mother. In her later years when at a family re-union she would gather large amounts of the leftover food to take home although she had nothing to do with its preparation.
