Uncle Albert served in World War I as a private in Company Q156, Depot Brigade. He took a woman into his house about the time his boys reached puberty and kept her there inspite of Aunt Mary's objections for several years. He was a farmer to the extent that his family of girls and his wife did most of the work while he did carpentry, mostly fram houses and tobacco barns.He was a good carpenter. One of my memories of him is watching as he sewed up a slashed thumb by himself using Mama's black thread. I enjoyed playing with his children, my first cousins.

John Harvey had four wives. Etta Rodgers, Ethel, Nita Murphy, and Sadie Holloman. Etta died. Ethel never re-married. He divorced Nita Murphy after about nine months. John Harvey and Ethel had 3 children: i boy, two girls. He had 4 children by Sadie. They were divorced before his death. Sadie re-married a Deans. then a Bains. Ethel used the last name of Futrell.
