Note: Victor was the assistant cashier of the Bunnell State Bank. He left the bank in Feb 1922 to take charge of the dry goods department of the Bunnell Mercantile Company. In 1940, he entered the insurance business operating out of New Smyrna, DeLand and St Augustine.
Etha came to Bunnell in 1919 and taught at Bunnell School. She was later engaged in retail sales.

Note: Victor, also called Vic or VW, graduated from New Smyrna High School and after serving in Pattonâ€™s Third Army in Europe in WW II, he attended the University of Florida where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, business honor fraternity. After receiving his bachelorâ€™s degree, Vic was an active member of the Exchange Club and the Chamber of Commerce in Gainesville. He was a member of Charter Life Underwriters and member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

Note: NEWSPAPER: Daytona Beach News-Journal, Bunnell, Sept 9, 1933 - A hornet indirectly caused the death of five year old boy here yesterday, and serious injury to a St Augustine city commissioner. The insect flew into an automobile driven by Mrs. B W McKenzie on old Dixie highway, caused her to crash head-on into another car, and her son Allen Clayton McKenzie, was killed.
